I. Every person is created in the image of God (Gen. 1:26).

We have the ability to reason and to choose right and wrong. We are created for fellowship with a loving, moral God. No matter who you are God loves you.

II. We are separated from God by our sinful choices.

Sin in the Greek language is an archery term and means "to miss the mark." We have missed the mark of God's plan for us. He is moral and He expects us to live moral lives. We have all chosen to disobey God (Rom. 3:23). Sin (disobedience) builds a wall between us and God, and thereby we are separated from God now and forever in hell if we find no remedy for our sin.

III. Man's remedy for sin is good works, self-righteousness, and religion devoid of faith.

Our remedy will fail us. We are not saved by good works (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5). We cannot be good enough to enter into the perfect presence of God.

IV. God's remedy for sin is faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus is One with Father God (II Cor. 5:19). Jesus willingly allowed men to condemn Him to death in an unfair trial. He was executed on a cross to pay the penalty for all our sin. Jesus died to save us from sin and restore our fellowship with God.

V. Personal faith in Jesus is the way to receive God's salvation.

You can pray, "Dear God, I have sinned against You by my choices. I believe that Jesus is Your Son and that He died to save me from sin and hell. Please forgive me. I trust Jesus as my personal Savior to give me eternal life. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen
